Your Coach Laurie
Sheppard Hello. My name is
Laurie Sheppard and I am a trained “facilitator” of this process through the
Lefkoe Institute, who originated this program over twenty years ago.
As a Master Certified Life Coach and Career Strategist since 1994 with
my company, Creating At Will® I have been in the business of helping
thousands of people make changes. I
work with men and women, but most often I have professional women clients. I believe we all have the potential to create the life we want.
This process has allowed me to quickly get to the root of concerns and
help folks just like you eliminate where you are stuck, so you can accomplish
satisfying relationships, a rewarding career and a more loving relationship with
yourself. My coaching philosophy is to help you first understand
where you are and then build a bridge to move forward to where you want to be.
But first we have to gently unblock the thinking that got you where you are so
you can move into more Positive Thinking. My background is having spent over a decade in both management and
administrative positions for major corporations and legal firms. During this
time I also worked as a project manager with the Los Angeles Youth-At-Risk
Foundation to help inner city youth dramatically improve their lives and gain
ongoing support structures. My coaching programs are one-on-one for individuals and groups.
I am a professional speaker for women’s business groups, frequently
write for women’s online sites and other article sites, and offer a myriad of
personal and career topics at my website. I
publish three bi-monthly women’s newsletters
(Women
Managers, Women Entrepreneurs,
Women in Career Transition-including those returning to the workforce). I have
authored a book on Change,
Creativity and Communication and
co-authored a coach’s book on Self-Esteem. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in
Administrative Business and Psychology. I sometimes have face-to-face sessions with my clients, but most of
my clients are out of area. I call
them by phone―even my international clients. To balance my professional life, I love time with my husband and
our families. I’m a voracious
reader, enjoy a good movie, and love walks in the sunshine for exercise or time
at the gym. I reside in West Los
Angeles.
